(More customer reviews)The standard toner that is supposed to last ~3,500 pages lasts much less than that (about half or less), and the replacement cartridges are ridiculously expensive (well over $200 (!) for the extended-print cartridge). We had this experience with three cartridges, so not just one defective unit. We contacted Lexmark about this problem, but Lexmark did not even bother to answer. If you intent to print more than just a few pages, and care about running costs, opt for another printer.
